FIFA 13 and Other News

FIFA 13 comes out all around the world in about 30 days or so! Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has made the cover for the Engilsh version. That is two years in a row that an Arsenal player has made the cover of FIFA. Last year Jack Wilshere was featured on the front. Lionel Messi will be on every cover around the world. Jakub Blaszczykowski will be on the cover in Poland and Tim Cahill will be on the cover in Australia.

The Champions League group drawings will be tomorrow. We will see where every team gets put and see if they have an easier way to the knock out stages then other teams.

Hazard Warning!

Eden Hazard has looked great for Chelsea in their first 3 games. Hazard has had somthing to do with all seven of their goals so far. He has 6 assists and he scored the other one. For a new player in the Premier League he has gotten of to a wonderfull start. If he continues his top form and Chelsea keeps playing well, they will be a hard team to play.

Swansea have gotten off to a great start also. Yes, their first games where not the hardest in the world, but they won both by a good margin. The way Swansea played against West Ham impressed some of the best soccer players around the world, including Cesc Fabregas, who tweeted he was really enjoying the way Swansea was playing. Once Swansea starts playing harder teams it will be intersting to watch and see how they do because clearly they can handle the easier Premier League sides.

Other leagues have started all around the world. A match of the El Classico has already been played which Barcelona beat Real Madrid 3-2. The game was not a league game, but a Spanish Super cup game. It is still a good win for Barcelona and it should give them hope that they can challenge Real for the top spot in the league this year.

Even though Bayern Munich where without Frank Ribery and Mario Gomez they won their first tournament game and league game very easily. Thats a good thing for them because Gomez is probably going to be out for a little while longer. Thomas Mueller and Arjen Robben helped the cause by scoring goals. Other players will have to step up for Munich, since they do not have their top goal scorer.

Two of the top strikers in the Premier League have gone down with injury. Sergio Aguero got an injury in Man City's first game of the season last week and Wayne Rooney will be out for a month after getting stepped on against Fulham. Rooney had a huge gash in his leg after being stepped on.

Important Info and Premier League Starts

Hello!! From now on, you can expect for me to not post as many posts as I have during the past few months. Probably I will post 2 or 3 during the week and maybe one on the weekend.

Anyways, the Premier League has started!! Chelsea was probably the most impresive. Yes they where not going against the hardest team, but Wigan is not a bad team. They look new and improved and their newest signing Eden Hazard looked great. Hazard help set up the two goals and he looked like he will do that the rest of the season. Chelsea has brought in lots of young talent and the teams across the premier league will have to watch out of the speed and energy. Man U played today, but I did not get to see it. They lost to Everton 1-0. That is a surprising result to me with Man U's new signings of Kagawa and Van Persie, but they will probably improve throughout the season. Arsenal should have won their game against Sunderland. Giroud had a chance that he should have scored and he did not even put it on target. Santi Cazorla looked very impressive and not only could make chances, but shoot himself. Arsenal tied Sunderland 0-0. Arsenal's offense looked great, but at some points the defense got a little scary!

Thanks for reading!! Remember that I will not be posting as much as I have the past few months.

Premier League Starts Tomorrow!!!!

Two days ago the U.S. Men's National team traveled to Mexico City to face Mexico. We had not beaten Mexico in Mexico for a very long, long time. The game was very close all the way through, of course not all the big stars where there being so close to the start of the season, but still they where not bad either. Brek Shea, who if you can remember has not been on top form lately, dribbled down the side of the field dodging defenders here and there then crossed it on the ground into the box. Then the American who recieved it did a fancy little pass to someone who finished it off. This was great for Brek Shea who set up the play and I hope it gives him a lot of momentum to do good for FC Dallas. The best player in the game was Tim Howard. He had one of he best performences of the year and really kept the United States in it. Some people are saying that because of that game he should be in consideration for the best goal keeper in the world. It was a great win for the U.S. and they finally won on Mexican Soil once again.

Tomorrow the Premier League starts and three good games will be played.

The first one Arsenal vs Sunderland should be a pretty good match. Last year they had close games and thats how I expect this one to be. Its at Arsenal so for the first game of the season they will have an advantage with the home field. If the new signings play I think Arsenal can pull out a win here. I expect Gervinho to score. He has had a great preseason and I hope he can continue his form into the regular season. That is all the scoring I think will happen. Since its the first game of the season I dont think anybody is going to come out just attacking as hard as they can. So Arsenal wins 1-0.

The next game is Fulham vs. Norwich. A lot of people probably have Fulham winning this one, but I have it in a tie. I have always thought Norwich was a pretty good team and they can compete with some of the top level Premier League teams. Fulham is also a good team and has a great midfielder with Clint Dempsey. Both teams have nice offenses, but lack a little on defense. I have this one ending 2-2!

The last match I will predict is QPR vs. Swansea. This one should be another great match. Both these teams got promoted to the Premier League in the 2011/2012 season and have stayed in the top flight of English soccer. QPR has the new edition of Park Ji Sung who should help in the midfield a lot. Both these teams can also compete with top 3 teams, after both beat Arsenal in one of thier games last year. This one is going to be anther close one, but I have to take QPR 2-1. I just think they have a slightly better offense they Swansea.

Muamba's Retirement

Hello and the premier league season starts in 3 days!!!

Today Bolton's Fabrice Muamba had to announce his retirement. In a FA Cup match between the Spurs and Bolton, Muamba collapsed and his heart stopped for a total of 78 minutes. He has been recovering and said that he hoped to return to Bolton and continue on with his career. A few days ago when he went to one of the best heart doctors in the world, he recieved dissapointing news. The doctor said that to go back and play would be to dangerous, so Muamba has decided to retire. Muamba has played for the English club Birmingham and started his career out at Arsenal.

When I predicted the Bundesliga a few days ago I did not realize that their star striker Mario Gomez had go injured. I still think the Bayern Munich can win the league title and hopefully Gomez will come back pretty quickly.

Well thats it for today thanks for reading!!

Collection of News 3

Collection of News:

The Arsenal Midfielder Alex Song has said he is happy at Arsenal and does not want to leave. Barcelona has had intrest in him, but he said he had heard of that intrest and would still like to stay at Arsenal. Song had some pretty nice assist at Arsenal last season and scored one goal. Even though he is not a big goal threat he is a pretty good passer of the ball.

Athletic Bilbao will sell the Spanish National player, Fernando Llorente, only if someone will pay the small fee of 36 Million Euros. Llorente said he would like to leave just last week and Juventus was getting some money together to offer 16 Million, but if Bilbao hold up on their price that would be nowhere close. The Premier League club Tottenham is also interested, but Llorente has made it clear that he wants to play in the UEFA Champions League. At that price I do not think anybody can get him.

The 21 year old Jack Rodwell has moved to Manchester City. He has played some for the England National squad and it will be intersting to see how he does on a big premier league team. Manchester City, like always, have said that they still may buy more players before the window is closed at the end of August.

GOOOOOOAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday the Mens Olympics Gold Medal Match was played and as I am writing this blog the community shield is finishing up.

The Gold Medal was played for by Brazil and Mexico. Brazil, even though it being their under 23 team, were still huge favorites going into the match. Mexico still had a good chance and tried their best. That work effort paid off for them, when not long after the game started they scored and put Brazil down 1-0. There was still a long way to go for Mexico. Trying to stop Brazil's offense for 90 minutes is not easy at all. In the second half Mexico got a corner or free kick and sent it into the box. Mexico headed it into the back of the net and was ahead of Brazil. With just a few minutes left Mexico could smell the Gold Medal. But Brazil had not given up. They caused Mexico to play their best defense and kept pressing them. Finally Brazil scored by way of Hulk. Brazil still had just a little time to send in another one. They had a great chance but could not convert. Mexico beat the huge favorites 2-1 in an exciting game!

The communtiy shield just ended a few minutes ago. Man City being the winners. It was a pretty good game. Once Chelsea got down to 10 men, City took advantage of it! All the finishes from Manchester City where pretty nice. Tevez and Nasari had great goals. Yaya Toure's one was pretty nice too. It looks like Man City will be hard to beat this year, they have kept all their players they have bought in the previous years. Chelsea kept it close even with ten men,but lost 3-2.

Well thats it for today thanks for reading.

U.S. Women Win Gold

Hello and the recap of the Gold Medal Match for you!

Two days ago in the Olympics the U.S. Women traveled to one of the greatest soccer stadiums in the world, Wembley Stadium. Yes, it was the rematch of the 2011 World Cup Final match when the U.S.A. got up to a 3-1 lead and ended up loosing in penalties. With that loss still fresh in the minds of the players, they really wanted to win this one. The game started off good for the United States, they had lots of energy in the first 15 minutes. The future of U.S. Womens soccer Tobin Heath dribbled the ball down the side of the field, then laying it off to Alex Morgan. Morgan let it role to the end line before crossing it back in, to the head of Carli Lloyd. Lloyd ran write infront of Abby Wambach's foot and headed it in. Then later on in the game, the second half I think, Lloyd got the ball again then took a few touches, before having a great strike across the field into the left side-netting. There was no chance for the Japanese goalkeeper. Now the U.S. had a two goal lead, but Japan caused many great saves from Hope Solo. Finally for Japan, one went in after a kind of scramble right infront of the goal. Japan was not done yet. They caused Solo to make more great saves. The game did end with the United States Winning 2-1! Thats back to back gold medals for the U.S. Womens team.

Last day of Predictions: La Liga

Hello and today is the last day of the predictions.

The Spanish Liga or La Liga has two of the best teams in the world with Real Mardrid and Barcelona. You almost always know those two teams are going to make up the top two. The rest of the table can be pretty hard to predict though. I think Malaga will drop to fifth and Valencia takes their fourth spot. Then I have Atletico Madrid rising from fifth all the way to third. Atletico has always had a really good offense and has a pretty good defense. Malaga has lost a few good players this off season and has not regained any talent. I could even see Malaga drop farther than fifth. Valencia has not really done much this offseason; every now and then they pop up with something but not really anything. If atletico could add 1 or 2 players they would surely get the third spot. Now the battle for first. Last year Real Madrid scored 100 points to win the league. Barcelona only had 91. This year I expect Real Madrid to win again, just not by that much. It should be much closer this year and an excting ending. I think it may come down to the last meeting of these two teams. Real Madrid will only win the league by 3 or 4 points this year.

Thanks for reading today! That was the last of the prediction blogs!

Serie A Predictions

Hello and today I do the Serie A predictions.

Last year the third, fourth and fifth spot in the league was very, very close and I think it will be that way again. I have Napoli rising up from the fifth spot up to the fourth. Lazio and Inter will battle it out for fifth and you might see AS Roma come in as a surprise winner. I think AC Milan drops down to third. Since they lost one of their best players Zlatan Ibrahimovic, there offense will not be as good as last year. Second was really hard to pick, but I would have to say Udinese. Remember that the battle for the third spot was really close last year, so other teams could have a chance of rising all the way up to second. In first for now I have Juventus. They may have a whole bunch of penalties I do not know about and some of their players maybe suspended. Plus their coach maybe gone, but if they where almost the same as last year, they should win the league. Last year they did not lose a single game at all.

thanks for reading today tomorrow predictions for La Liga.

Ligue 1 Predictions

Hello and now I can actually post my blog.

The French League is always very close. This year I expect it to be the same. I have the third place team from last year Lille, dropping a spot to fourth. In third I have Montpellier. Yes they are the defending champions, but other teams have had just too good of an off season or had a great ending to last years season. Montpellier is a good team but just have not made any moves this offseason to keep their spot. Lyon will jump all the way from fourth to second. They had a good ending to last season by winning a cup and also they have a great goalkeeper in Hugo Llorris. Lyon has a great offense and if they can improve a little on defense they may even challange for the top spot. In first I have PSG or Paris Saint Germain. They came in a close second last year and have made many improvements this summer. PSG has made many transfer moves this off season and they still have more days to get more top players.  They should win the league by 3 to 9 points.

The U.S. Womens National team had a great game in the Semi Finals of the Olympics. In went all the way to extra time against Canada and Alex Morgan headed it, in the last few minutes. Now the United States will go to the gold medal match against Japan. This will be a rematch of the World Cup one year ago. It should be a good game and I think the U.S. will win 3-2!

Thanks for reading my blog today. Tomorrow Serie A predictions!

Blog will be posted at later time.

Sorry where I am the computer is not working at 5 I will get back home and type my predictions for the French ligue 1. Sorry I had typed it all, but it would not let me publish the post.

Bundesliga Predictions

Hello! Today instead of predicting all the leagues, I will predict one league everyday for 3 or 4 days. We start with the Bundesliga.

I could see the team that finished sixth last year, Stuttgart making a run into the top, but I think they can only get as high as fourth. They have a great scoring team, its just that they need to work on their defense and maybe in a year or two they could break into the top three. In third I have the same team that finished there last year, FC Schalke. They have the star striker from the Netherlands, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and if he stays on the same form like he did last year they will keep their third spot. They just have not recieved much talent this off season to make it to the top two. Dortmund can not win the Bundesliga three seasons in a row. Plus they have lost one of their best midfielders Kagawa. Kagawa was a speedy player, who could not only make great assists, but score every now and then. With the loss of him Dortmund will still have a close race for the top, but finish a few points under the first place team. In first I have Bayern Munich. Last year they had a pretty good season, its just that they lost to Dortmund every time they played them. I do not see that happening this time around. I know they can beat Dortmund at Allianz Arena, but they can probably hope for a tie away. Munich has not really lost anybody this season and have a great striker in Mario Gomez. The offense for Bayern is great and they have one of the best backs in the world, along with one of the best goalies. If Munich can take care of Dortmund, they will take care of everybody else and win the title.

Tomorrow, I will predict the French League, Ligue 1. Thanks for reading today!

Worst National Anthem Ever

I forgot to mention something about the FC Dallas game I went to. The thing that I will remember most about the game was the National Anthem. It was one of the worst National Anthems that I have ever heard. For some reason they had a 11 year old girl, that could not sing come out there. It was also one of the slowest Anthems any body in the world had ever heard. By the time she got out the O Say, most national anthems would have probably been over. It just sounded bad and went on forever. You could see people laughing and looking over their shoulder making faces at her. It has already got lots of hits on youtube, and some people have written articles on it. I know its just an 11 year old girl, but trust me it was really bad. And for the real experience you really had to be there.

Japan Coach Out Thinks Himself

Just to let you know, there may not be a blog Sunday.

Barcelona is looking to improve their already amazing squad and one of their targets is said to be Arsenal's midfielder Alex Song. Sergio Busquets, the Barcelona midfielder, has said that Song would be a nice addtion to the team on the bench, oh wait he did not say on the bench. But really Busquets did say that he would be a nice addtion to the team. He said that Song is a hard worker, good player, is young, and has great physical strength. Song still has 2 years at Arsenal and I do not think we should sell him, he is one of our best midfielders.

In the womens olympic soccer tournament, the Japan coach told his team to try not to win and play for a draw, when they could have easily won. He did this so the team could stay in Cardiff, Wales instead of traveling somewhere else. The only flaw in his plan was that he did not expect to be meeting one of the toughest teams in the tournament, Brazil. The U.S. womens coach, Pia Sundhage said she would never tell her team to do that just so they could stay in a certain place. If Japan looses their game to Brazil, there will probably be a lot of criticism towards them. Japan was not punished by FIFA. FIFA said that they where not breaking any rules of the game.

Thats it for today come back tomorrow.

United States Vs. North Korea and Puyol

Hello!

Yesterday in the Olympics the United States Womens team had a great game and ended up winning. The United States scored their first and only goal when Alex Morgan slipped a sneaky pass between the two defenders that were guarding her, then the veteran Abby Wambach had a nice and calm finish. It was a funny celebration when most of the players came and got in a line and did this dance move with their arms that I can not seem to find the Official name for. It seemed like the U.S. should have had at least one more or maybe two, because Morgan hit the post once and Wambach hit the post also. North Korea never really had great chances, but the goalkeeper Hope Solo did have to save a few. In the second half a North Korean player slid in on one of the United States players and drew her second yellow card. So the United States finished off the game with a one man advantage. The U.S. advances to the knock out stage in the first postion of their group. I think they go and play at Newcastle's stadium.

Barcelona's captain Carles Puyol is going to sign a contract extension to finish out his career at the club. Puyol missed out on Euro 2012 with a knee injury, but has went back to training with Barcelona.

Well that is it for today! Come back tomorrow.
